Do-It (on-line database of volunteering opportunities)
This site provides details of volunteering opportunities throughout the UK and is powered by a large on-line database of current vacancies. Do-It allows users to search by postcode, type of organisation and type of work. Members of the National Centre for Volunteering can register their volunteering opportunities on the site.

Timebank
This BBC supported campaign gives you the opportunity to share your time and skills with your community. The site allows you to register your details in order to receive a list of organisations in your area that need help, and which match your interests.

The Experience Corps
Web site of the new company that has been set up to encourage and enable people aged 50 and over to volunteer and get involved in their communities.

CSV (Community Service Volunteers)
Large scale provider of volunteering opportunities in the UK. CSV also supports training and education initiatives.

Retired and Senior Volunteer Programme (RSVP)
Promotes volunteering by older people and matches individuals with local voluntary opportunities. It operates across Great Britain with more than 5,000 volunteers and aims to involve as many people as possible over the age of fifty.

Active Community Unit

Millennium Volunteers (MV)
UK-wide initiative to encourage 16-24 year olds to volunteer their time for the benefit of others. Using the strapline 'build on what you're into', MV allows young people to get involved in activity on local issues which they care about using their interests or hobbies as a starting point.
